Password to modify is found in seconds. The current version of this program supports this type of recovery only for documents created by Microsoft® Word 97/2000/XP. Step-by-step instructions on how to recover a password are included in the Quick Start feature.

Password to open a document created by Microsoft® Word 6.0/95 and Microsoft® Access 2000/XP is also found in seconds. Password recovery for documents created by Microsoft® Word 97/2000/XP or Microsoft® Excel 97/2000/XP take longer. This program lets you use three different search methods (also called attack methods):
- Dictionary Attack — uses a dictionary of common words, phrases, numbers, names and quotes to guess the password. The dictionary in this case is a text file. This attack works well if the password is a common word or name.
- Brute- Force Attack — finds a password by searching all possible character combinations. This method is guaranteed to find a password but often takes considerable time.
- Brute-Force With Mask Attack — a modified and considerably faster Brute Force Attack.
